Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of the MyTally app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What MyTally is (and is not)

MyTally is a personal money-management tool that helps you record, review, categorise, and plan your finances.

MyTally is not a bank, is not a payment service, and does not move, hold, withdraw, or spend your money. It does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice. You remain responsible for your own financial decisions and for confirming the figures you keep.

Your account and security

You must use an email address you control and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

If you share a device, sign out when needed and protect the device with your own screen lock. You must be old enough under the laws of your country to enter into these terms (at least 18, or the age of majority where you live).

Email auto-tracking

Email auto-tracking is optional and only runs after you turn it on and set up forwarding in your own email account.

You are responsible for the forwarding rule you create and for forwarding only your own bank alerts. We process the alerts that reach your MyTally address as described in the Privacy Policy. You can stop it at any time by revoking your alert address.

Importing documents

When you upload a statement or receipt, you confirm you are entitled to use that document. It is processed to extract transactions, which you review before they are saved.

Automated extraction can occasionally misread figures. Always check imported results before relying on them.

Third-party services

MyTally relies on trusted third-party providers for hosting, email delivery and routing, authentication, automated document processing, and app distribution. Their availability can affect parts of the app, and their handling of data is covered in the Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, interfere with other users, attempt unauthorised access, reverse-engineer the service, or use it in ways that break applicable laws or platform rules.

Changes, availability and liability

We may improve, change, or remove features to fix bugs, improve performance, or add capabilities, and we may update these terms; continued use means you accept the changes.

The app is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from your financial decisions or from figures you entered or imported. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable law.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete Account. This is irreversible.
